MYSORE and the world famous BANDIPUR NATIONAL PARK

Day 01: Bangalore - Mysore:
140 Kms / 3hrs
Meet on arrival at Bangalore Airport and proceed to Mysore. Check into hotel and if time permits; visit to the fruit and vegetable market. Return to hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Mysore:
After breakfast at the hotel proceed for full day guided tour visiting Maharaja Palace the palace is a splendid structure in the Indo- Saracenic Style, among its many attractions are a magnificent gold throne displayed during the Dasara celebrations, Art Gallery - the art gallery in the Jaganmohan Palace houses an excellent collection of ceramics, sandalwood, ivory, stone, antique furniture and ancient musical instruments, St. Philomena’s Church - this imposing Gothic structure with beautiful stained glass windows and lofty towers is a must see, Srirangapatana - Island fortress of Tippu Sultan. Visit Tippu’s summer Palace, Gumbaz and Srirangapatna temple. Chamundi Hill – perched on top of the hill – the 4.8m tall monolith of Nandi (Shiva’s Bull) and the gigantic Mahishasura statues are added attractions, -. Evening proceed to Palace to see the illumination and return back to your hotel for overnight.
Day 3: Mysore - Bandipur National Park: 80 Kms / 2 Hrs
Checkout after breakfast and drive to Bandipur, on arrival check-in at Bandipur Safari Lodge, proceed for lunch. Relax before we leave early evening for wildlife safari, returning back to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Bandipur National Park also known as Bandipur Tiger Reserve; this park was one of the first seven to be brought under Project Tiger in 1973. Nestled at the foothills of the picturesque Nilgiris or the Blue Mountains, Bandipur was once the private hunting ground of the Mysore Maharajahs. Today, it is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in India. The highest density of Indian tigers is found here, as are a fifth of the world’s Asiatic Elephant population. In fact, around about 5,000 wild elephants roam these jungles. Although tigers are in the area, like all of the elusive predators, sightings cannot be guaranteed

Accommodation: Although the emphasis is on minimizing impact on the environment the rooms are contemporary in style and comfortable with modern attached shower/toilet. Every room has a different wildlife theme see picture of the Sambar Room. (No TVs in the rooms).
Day 4: Bandipur National Park-Bangalore: (230Kms / 5hrs)
Morning safari & elephant ride (subject to availability) and return to camp. Breakfast, checkout and proceed to Bangalore Airport for drop off.

2 nights hotel accommodation in Mysore on bed & breakfast basis
1 nights accommodation at Bandipur National Park; includes all meals, jeep ride and trekking
Car as per the itinerary (non air con)
Driver allowance, parking fees and service tax
Guide service and entrance fees at Mysore.

Lunch and dinner at Mysore
Telephone charges, laundry, tips, etc or any other items of a personal nature
Any water, soft drinks or alcoholic beverages consumed by the client (these will be charge directly to the client).
Air tickets Goa-Bangalore-Goa but these can be arranged on request. Prices fluctuate during the season as a guide line only … prices from £75.00 per person return flight.

Upgrade to air conditioned car in and around Mysore and to and from Bandipur can be arranged but this would incur an additional cost of £25.00 per person
